Want to learn how to use our VHF radios1?

This course is usually run in conjunction with a third party such as the RYA.

The course teaches you the correct procedures to enable proper use of the club's marine VHF radios. You will learn the phonetic alphabet, which channels to use and emergency procedures.

On completion of the course you may apply for your marine VHF operators license which is then yours for life.

NB Although you are legally required to have a license to use marine VHF, it is accepted that anyone can use a radio in an emergency or even whilst training.
